Hi, there

I am the Founder & CEO of Airblack, India’s largest learning platform for microentrepreneurs.

India is home to world’s largest youth population and second-largest freelancing population. 500M+ workforce / 80M+ set to enter in the next 4-5 years -> less than a million white collar jobs every year -> what will the rest do? We believe this is one of the most important questions of our lifetime.

With a clear mission statement of “Har ghar ek entrepreneur” / “An entrepreneur in every home”, Airblack is using technology and content to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs on the internet.

Airblack in stats: 1% done / ~500K+ learners every month across 5 sectors: digital, beauty, fashion, nutrition & culinary / 1 master academy in the beauty space / Network of over 40,000+ beauty entrepreneurs / 20M+ people reached every month / $11M raised from India’s leading investors & angels / Forbes Asia 100 to Watch 2024

Hats I wore earlier:

  • Started Airblack as ‘Shopify for travel influencers/agents’. Scaled to ~$1M in GMV in 15 months. Covid hit, went to zero. Had less than 12 months runway. Pivoted.

  • Part of the Investment Team at Elevation Capital, a $3B AUM fund; focused on Seed/Series A investments in consumer-tech / social / content / gaming sectors.

  • Worked at BCG for a year. Realised I belong to the dark side.

  • Co-founded a digital media venture University Express; wrote code / built communities in over 200 campuses / hit organic readership of ~9M/month. Exited to an influencer marketing firm

  • Co-founded e-commerce venture as a side hustle during my undergrad and bootstrapped our way to USD 100K in net profits in 3 years. Did a lot of cold calling & sales.

Curious and always learning; student of technology, computer science, consumer psychology, product, and growth. Amateur gamer, coder, designer & chess player.
