I am the founder of Airblack, an academy reimagined for microentrepreneurs. India is home to world’s largest youth population and second-largest freelancing population. With over 500M+ workforce and 80M+ set to enter in the next 4-5 years, we are focused on making Airblack the go-to platform for launching a livelihood. As of 2023, Airblack has become one of the largest beauty academies in India and has trained over 35,000 women in 300+ cities to launch their own small businesses from home. More on us here.

Before starting Airblack, I was a VC at Elevation Capital (erstwhile SAIF Partners), where I focused on early-stage startups in consumer-tech space. I had the privilege to work with some of the smartest minds in the tech space on both sides of the table. I also worked at the Boston Consulting Group for a year.

Earlier, I co-founded a digital media venture University Express, where we were enabling citizen journalism through university students, for university students. We scaled to being one of India’s largest destinations for university news and built writer communities in over 200 campuses, with a readership of over 9 million a month. Eventually, we decided to sell it to an influencer marketing firm. I also ran an e-commerce venture as a side hustle during my undergrad and bootstrapped our way to USD 100K in net profits in 3 years.

I love building things and geeking about technology, psychology, product, and growth.
